Sihle Mlambo: I'd like to know where he personally thinks Amazulu will finish this season?
Bafo: Hi, Sihle. Honestly if we were to improve on last seasons result I would be ok. I want something around the top 8 if not better.
Karl Burghard Niebuhr: Howsit Bafo! My question to you is: has the coaching expertise & experience of Neil Tovey had an impact on Usuthu's game, and if so what, and more specifically, to you yourself? Thanx man! Best of luck boys. Karl
Bafo: I can’t answer your question maybe as yet, seeing as it is still early in the season that answer will come when everything has gelled and settled dowb nicely. Personally I can’t speak for the whole team, I say its too soon to start having conclusions so early. But yes we will need too work hard and will need luck as well. Thanks.
Lucky Jobe, Pietermaritzburg: Bafo, I have got few comments and questions for you.
Firstly, which areas of your game do you think you need to work on to improve your game and hopefully be recalled into Bafana Bafana?
Secondly, is there any player that we have who plays the same role as you in the team? Not Skhakhane, Litha or Mabaso, I mean in the reserves.
Thirdly, could you please tell me why you guys hide when the opposition strikes at goal. Our defenders just look away, how can you block a shot looking away? Maybe you can find out for me from the guys. They did it against Arrows both 1st and 2nd legs. Why don’t they throw their bodies at the ball and block it? Eish I don’t get it.
Lastly, I am happy to see you back in the starting line up, keep working hard and I was impressed by your performance against Arrows and Platinum Stars. Keep it up qhawe lami.
Bafo: To answer your first question Lucky maybe it is hard to speak of a specific area. The way we play is not the same as Bafana Bafana’s game approach.
I can improve on a certain aspect to be become a well rounded player but it is difficult to say exactly. The formation we play is not the same as the one I’ve seen played by Bafana.
No there isn’t any player that plays the same role as me.
The way we position ourselves is what causes the opposition to take shots. In a way I’d say if you are guilty of this you will more than invite teams to take a few shots at your goal and yes we have been defending a bit too deep. But we are working much harder to change this.
Melusi Mvore: Biyela I remember u we were 2gether @ UNIZULU u were playing 4 Stlyes fc.
So what’s the difference between University football and PSL in terms of game approach because I believe that they r too many players @ Unizulu who really deserve to play in PSL -
Bafo: (Laughs). The difference is huge. At University it more direct football trying to find those openings, whilst in the PSL it is a lot about tactics.
In soccer you just have to keep working hard you never know when you will get your get your big break it could be sooner than you expect. So Mvure, all I can say is the guys must keep working hard anything anytime can happen then amajita will be sharp.
Xolile Junior Mpisane : Do you feel privileged playing under respected Neil Tovey and Clive Barker?
Bafo: Yes I am, they have been around in the game.
Jabulani Hlatshwayo:
Bafo do you see any chance for you to be among the players who will be playing in the 2010 World cup?
Bafo: Not really but obviously like any other player in the PSL it is a dream I have as well. Honestly though it is a bit of a tall order to try to make it for the World Cup.
Simangele Mzizi: What are you hoping to achieve this season individually and how has your style of play improved compared to last season?
Bafo: Last season I didn’t do well I just told myself that I would never let it happen again. I have put my weight problems behind and things have been really encouraging. My shooting still needs to improve a bit so I can get a few goals, I have scored two so far and I want to at least finish the seasons with five. Yes I’m counting penalties as well. Laughs
Elphas Ngcobo: Bafo I'm a Durbanite down in Cape Town and I always attend Amazulu games whenever they come down, the last game being the 0 all draw against Ajax at Athlone last season.
Which of the Amazulu's legend is your favourite and why?
Bafo: Thanks for supporting us, we need that especially in away games. My favourite player to have played for AmaZulu was Tsepo Tswane. He played in the same role as me.
