Tovey: We Need to Create Our Own Luck
September 17, 2009
AmaZulu coach Neil Tovey was left frustrated as his team lost a match in which they played well enough to have least earned a draw.
Even Ajax Cape Town coach Muhsin Ertugral admits his team were somewhat fortunate to get the three points.

“AmaZulu played very well. (From an Ajax point of view) this was one of the worst matches of my career, I don’t recall Ajax getting anything positive out of this game, except for the three points,” said Ertugral.
Usuthu may find themselves in 15 th spot in the league standings, but in Ertugral’s opinion, there is no reason to panic.
“Neil Tovey is a good young coach and AmaZulu fans just need to have a bit of patience.
“I don’t see this team struggling near the bottom of the table at all,” said the Urban Warriors mentor.
Tovey meanwhile was annoyed by some of the decisions that went against Usuthu on the night.
“I was disappointed with some of the referee’s decisions,” he lamented.
The AmaZulu coach points out that Ajax’s defensive approach to the game made it difficult for his side to create chances, though he was pleased with the performance of his defenders as the only goal conceded came via a controversial penalty decision.
“Ajax had a fair number of defenders in the box which forced our strikers to work much harder.
“Tonight we were very solid (in defence), and even though we missed Chabamba Chintu, Belux Kasonga was very good. We just need to create our own luck,” added Tovey
